The Murcia Chys Gallery in Spain has opened an exhibit entitled DIVERTIMENTOS featuring the paintings of Cuban artists Orestes Campos and Reinaldo Pagan Avila. From the 30th of January until the 18th of February you will have the opportunity to see the works of these two incredible Cuban artists. Both Campos and Pagan were some of the original artists first featured here on Ateneo Art Cuba Gallery a long, long time ago.
Step into the world of Cuban artist Reinaldo Pagan Avila, the world in which he creates his works of art in Santiago de Cuba. While browsing for videos, I found this video on YouTube. You can step inside his world, his home in Santiago de Cuba and watch him working on a painting in his art studio.
One of the most outstanding artists in Cuba today, Reinaldo Pagan Avila from Santiago de Cuba is a most prolific painter. He has painted since he was a child. His parents divorced and he grew up with his mother in the hills of Santiago in a little town called Vista Hermosa. Pagan studied art at the José Joaquín Tejada Art School but is self taught in water colors and other artistic techniques which he learned from the books he read.
