The Cuban artist Orestes Campos was born in Cuba in 1962. He graduated from the Academy of “José Joaquin Tejada” in 1987, specializing in painting and drawing.
In 1989 – 1990, he attended the State Institute of Art in Moscow. He is a
member of UNEAC and belongs to the Cara-jo group of artists. His paintings are a humorous commentary on modern society, its materialism and the concept of the “renaissance man”. He has exhibited his works extensively in Cuba and his art can be found in collections in Canada, the United States and Europe.
He lives in Santiago de Cuba with his wife and child.
